Erdem autumn/winter Ready-To-Wear Dresses 2011 Collection

ERDEM, king of mismatched prints and surprising texture combinations, is in his element for autumn/winter 2011-12. With the fitted shift dress becoming one of next season’s strongest staples – commercially as strong as it gets he gave it everything he had prints that called to mind Monet’s waterlilies inky florals in the richest scarlet; and panels with bra fastenings at the back to show a tantalising window of flesh.
Chiffon blouses were buttoned high at the neck and carried prints that were repeated on tailored trousers below, the colours picked out in irregular patches of embellishment or velvet that, says Matches buyer Bridget Cosgrave, is looking like a hot trend for next winter.
Glam rock style trouser suits and sleeveless tweed tops with exaggerated turtle necks gave this collection a shot of rebellion that was welcome in Erdem’s world of innocence and his textural play, that took the same print from velvet to satin to quilt and lace in the space of one look, proved his sartorial genius whether it’s good girls or bad girls he’s dressing.Article Source
